Strong demand for ACT LearnScope in 2007

LearnScope applications maintained a strong demand again this year, with 40 applications from the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT), private registered training organisations (RTOs), VET in Schools and individuals. Overall, the quality of applications has improved with additional focus on client outcomes and piloting e-learning with client groups. The number and quality of individual applications was also pleasing.

Of the 40 applications, Thirty-eight applications were successful. One major project and 25 training innovation project applications came from individuals, seven team projects came from CIT, six team projects from private RTOs and one team project from VET in School.
In addition, four start-up groups will begin this year, including three start-up groups for VET in Schools and one combined start-up group for staff from local RTOs and CIT.

e-Tools n Tips hosted by the E-learning Networks Project throughout September using Elluminate. If you have missed one of the sessions on: virtual worlds, social bookmarking, personal learning spaces, digital storytelling, video in e-learning, or wikis and blogs you can still access the relevant Elluminate session recordings.

In 2006, 19 teams and 60 vocational and technical education professionals expanded their teaching and training horizons as part of ACT LearnScope. Some teams were broadly based "Start-Up Groups" where trainers with no experience or background in e-learning "had a go". Other teams worked towards clearly defined professional development goals to meet client needs.
