QLD E-learning Experiences 07
A celebration of Queensland e-learning's past, present and future
Over 150 VET professionals joined together on the 28th November 2007 to celebrate QLD E-learning Experiences 07 and take the journey of visiting the e-learning 'spirits' of the past, the present and the future.
Key note speakers included Dr Margaret Lloyd and Mr Wayne Bucklar who presented futuristic views and visions for e-learning. Projects funded by the Australilan Flexible Learning Framework (Framework) were showcased and participants were given the opportunity to trial some new e-learning tools .
E-learning Capability Unit Approach
Queensland professional development activities have been managed by the E-learning Capability Unit that aimed to embed e-learning in Queensland through knowledge sharing, capability building and sustainable networks.
Capability building in 2007 was expressed through a range of funded professional development opportunities that focussed on longevity, relevance and transference of learning into the QLD VET Sector. As a result of the process the E-learning Capability Unit funded 10 individuals, 30 teams, 8 of which were systemic projects Online courses were also undertaken by managers and practitioners with 40 participants.
In addition a series of funded workshops were delivered to meet the diverse needs of the Queensland VET sector. Throughout the year over 1200 VET professionals participated.
